From the Principal

Dear Stakeholders,

All at IESE are delighted with the positive and enthusiastic start that our students and staff have made together here this school year. We truly have a school where teachers can teach and students can learn in an atmosphere of support and safety.

Our school recently hosted a visit by the government appointed School Commission who are looking into how swedish schools can be improved. Our owner and founder Barbara Bergström and Dr. Hans Bergström also attended, visiting lessons with the commission and taking part in the discussion that followed. One question asked by a commission member summed up my overall impression from the day and that question was: “Is it possible to recreate this IESE quality of educational experience for students in swedish state schools?”

This question precipitated a very useful discussion regarding possible future avenues of investigation for the commission.

At the recent Principal`s Conference at the new IES school in Kista IESE was recognised with a major award. This was for having achieved the best IES school results for year 9 swedish national tests with 92% of our students achieving the grade C or above. This is truly something for us to be proud of as many of our almost 30 schools throughout the country have the highest results in their region. Also very gratifying here is the re-confirmation that our students truly are bilingual as they leave us in year 9. My congratulations to all at IESE who contributed to this success.

I look forward to another fantastic and successful school year for all.

Best Wishes,

Robert Clark
